Independent Freshers Fair to launch in Liverpool this September

An independent freshers fair is launching this September to connect university students with local businesses in Liverpool.

This new event is free-to-exhibit for businesses and will showcase a broad range of dynamic, student-facing brands including nightclubs, bars, restaurants, transport providers, clothing shops and more.

The event is being organized by one of the largest operators of bars and nightclubs in the Northwest. The company has been a presence at Liverpool Freshers’ fairs for many years and has decided to start its own, with the aim of making more opportunities for small businesses that may not be able to meet the growing cost of exhibiting at other fairs.

Marketing Representative of Liverpool Independent Freshers, Liam McLean, said: “We recognised the growing costs businesses face to exhibit at Freshers Fairs, so we set out to create a free-to-exhibit and accessible opportunity for as many businesses as possible to connect with Liverpool’s incoming students.

As one of the UK’s most popular student cities, Liverpool deserves a fresh, high-energy event that showcases the best it has to offer. Our goal is to support independent businesses and give back to the city, while helping students discover local gems right from the start.”

The Independent fair will accept freshers from universities all around Liverpool and has over 30 venues and businesses already on board.  Organisers are also working closely with local police and the council to raise awareness about Liverpool’s safety initiatives.

The fair will take place inside a student favored venue, Einstein Bier Haus, and run from 11am until 5pm on September 16th. Situated on Fleet Street, the fair is in a great location for visitors to learn the layout of the surrounding area, which includes popular student hubs, Concert Square and Bold Street.

Organisers anticipate between 2,000 and 5,000 students to attend and benefit from freebies, information, experiences, and more.
